theorist of PHOS association


was born in Košice in 1985. She is a graduate of the European Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica.

She has continuously dealt with the issue of photography by her participation in the student scientific and artistic activities, as well as in her bachelor thesis entitled Magic of the moment – a worth of the opinion evidence of the text of the photography, and in her master thesis with topic Contemporary Photography in the process of cultural modernization.

on 06/09/2010 at 17.30 p.m. in the Central European House of Photography in the open cultural dialogue presented to the general public its mission and artistic work of four photographers in the form of documentary photographs which bear the human message about person and affect the social issues of society. They express their views on these issues from different aspects. In a large public participation a pleasant atmosphere was created in which the pleasant presentation was structured as an open cultural interview with photography and about photography, with art and about art, with people and about people.

The master thesis which deals with the comtemporary photography as a visual medium of communication. The principal goal of this work is to mention on factors that led to a change of the status of contemporary photography under the influence of cultural modernization and the formation of consumer society. To explain what attributes meets the contemporary photography in different genres of mass media culture and capture the deformations which are the result of it. The empirical part of the work includes the research of this issue. The dialogue between photography and society makes the need to increase visual literacy, the society should be familiarized with the means that are used by photography. As well it is needed to refer to its manipulation which results in ever-present visual lies.
